I’ve been in film & TV sound for 15 years now, and i’ve been lucky enough to work on a huge variety of great projects.  Freelance since 2005, I have built up a wide client base and have a great reputation for precise and creative tracklaying and mixing on the most demanding projects, exploiting the cutting edge of broadcast technology.  I am the UK’s most experienced Dolby E specialist, having used it since Band of Brothers some 8 years ago.  HD TV and 5.1 deliveries are a speciality of mine, and I am fully conversant with all the latest loudness requirements and other elements of modern HD and surround deliverables.  I use the ubiquitous Pro Tools system of course, but am also very happy on Pyramix, Logic or Soundtrack Pro with any mixing desk you can name.

I have my own Pro Tools system which I can prepare and mix projects on either in my own studio or at a client premises, should this be required. 

The concept of tracklaying and premixing off-site and then going to a full-blown studio for VO record and final mix is becoming a very popular one.


Re-mastering is also a very important part of post-production sound, particularly as channels move forward to ever more automated playout but also have to meet programme & commercial loudness concerns.   I have extensive experience in remastering feature film DVD and television content and am able to offer programme remastering with the latest programme loudness specifications at exceptional rates.


I am a full member of the prestigious Institute of Broadcast Sound www.ibs.org.uk
